Where saju comes from
The Four Pillars grew out of Chinese calendar astrology (BaZi, 八字, “eight characters”) more than a thousand years ago. In Korea it became saju, a much-loved part of the culture, and people still look at their pillars for the new year, weddings and big decisions. We draw on that tradition with respect and gratitude. Fatescroll is a playful, modern retelling for English readers. It doesn't replace a reading with an experienced practitioner.
